Ol Doinyo Lengai

Oldonyo Lengai is an active cone shaped volcano, surrounded by multiple small craters near the Ngorongoro Highlands and Lake Natron. This is a very steep, challenging one day hike with a night-time summit ascent, and descent the same day. Amazing views on the descent (your ascent will be in the dark). This requires lodging in Lake Natron area for 2 nights usually. We'll arrange local guides. A unique, off the beaten path experience but a very challenging climb. Alternately, you can visit Lake Natron region to enjoy the lake and observe the volcano and nearby craters without doing the climb itself.
